I have been spending a lot of time lately working on structure for the business of writing a book. There is so much that goes into writing a book, and there seems to be so much more that goes into setting that book up to actually sell somewhere.

It boggles the mind.

I have done a ton of research on setting up a site, creating a newsletter, setting up that newsletter so people can sign up, the actual stuff that has to happen to sell a book.

All this has taken me away from actually writing the book, and that seems kind of comical to me.

Now that I have some of that framework in place it's back to actually writing, which I enjoy. One of the big things I have been working on that is both for the book and for the selling of the book is what is called the sales copy. The sales copy is the bit that goes on the back of the book After a bunch of research it seems that the prevailing wisdom is to write that before you even write the book. Shit, I didn’t do that exactly right I guess, but I am nowhere near done with the book and I guess there is no time like the present. So, I found a bit of a guiding method for the sales copy. It is still a work in progress, but here is what I have so far. It will probably change, but might as well throw it out there.
